The Junior Excellence program was established in 2007 to recognise, reward and incentivise junior swimmers. Each year, Swimming Australia releases the JX criteria and standards for the forthcoming season. Swimmers aged 9 to 13, who accomplish times set by Swimming Australia, qualify at gold, silver, bronze or blue standard, depending on their best performances during the season. Despite the difficult year, Swimming Australia was still able to discern swimmers of excellence in our junior category.
Consequently, we had a big contingent achieving the requisite time standards this year. Congratulations to the following swimmers: Ahmed Elgammal, Alanna Malovan, Alice Hay, Anna Yestekhin, Chloe King, Danial Panknin, Jack Robinson, James Hay, Joshua Hume, Luke Panknin, Mia Toussas, Owen Cheung, Rosemary Pauesi and Zhiannon Hume.
We had one swimmer achieve gold standard: Noah O'Donnell
Congratulations to all our JXers!
