Athletes from our open performance and national age squads have officially touched back down in Melbourne after successfully completing their Cairns training camp for 2024.
The week saw our swimmers bravely take on tough race simulations in the pool, and complete several additional gym sessions. Our swimmers also found the time to tackle a grueling hike up the picturesque Walsh’s Pyramid in high humidity, and compete in intra team challenges (including a Jenga game for the ages!)
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all those involved in making this wonderful camp possible. Thank you to our amazing coaches Seb and Marcus and the whole Swim Academy Network team for making the trip not only possible, but also challenging, rewarding, safe and unforgettable.
Thank you also to coach Darcy for bringing the heat in the gym, and fostering high team morale when the times were tough.

And a big shout out to master chef Angelo of Giglia Football Academy. Thank you sincerely for taking time away from your family to fuel our team. Your meals were nutritious, delicious and brought the best out of all our athletes. It takes a village.
