2022 Victorian Metropolitan LC Championships

January 28, 2022

Our state team, together with a few of our national swimmers, tackled the Metro meet for more racing practice

Only a week since State Sprints and another great weekend of racing! With 22 swimmers in attendance over 3 days, there was plenty of great swims all around. Some notable swims included:

Thomas Sutherland and Sam Scodella dropping 4 and 3 seconds off their 100m Fly PB's respectively.

Thomas went on to drop 10.26 seconds in his 200m Breast for a 2:36.72.

James Morrow swam a 58.73 in his 100m Free, shaving off 3.04 seconds. James went on to drop 9.61 seconds from his 400m IM for a time of 4:58.96.

Adam Selwood dropped 0.54 seconds from his 100m Br for a new PB of 1:02.21 - just after an intense training camp in Cairns!

With almost every single swimmer achieving at least 1 PB over the weekend, it was great to see such great outcomes off the back of rather inconsistent training in 2021.

A special mention also goes out to Thomas Sutherland who dropped a combined 27.84 seconds off of only 5 events!!

Thanks also to our time keepers for giving their time, and to our amazing coaches!

Well done all.
