2022 Tasmanian Short Course Championships

The Tasmanian Short Course states was a great experience for the whole state squad.

The trip consisted of a lot of highlights for the team. Overall everyone had an amazing time. On this trip we were able to really bond as a team and learn about each other more than what we are able to in the pool.

Over the weekend where we competed, everyone had an amazing meet, where we all PB'd at least once. There were a few individual medals (Enrico, Ahmed and Samuel) as well are a couple of relay teams that also medalled. Everyone really got around each other, supported the team and looked after one another, also sharing a lot of jokes and laughs. But by the end of the weekend it was fair to say we were all exhausted.

So on the last day of the trip, Marcus and Seb took us to the Mona Art Museum, which was surprisingly to most of us, really enjoyable, with all the exhibitions being something different and interesting.

Then we were able to take our competitiveness out of the pool and to the mini golfing course, which was a great way to end the trip and spend time together - and it gave the girls an opportunity to beat the boys for once. We finished the trip off by going out for dinner before our flight home.

Overall, the trip was amazing, filled with new experiences and learning opportunities, new friendships (in and out of the club), and an insane amount of fun and laughter. Everyone is really appreciative of Marcus, Seb and Melissa who made it all happen and allowed us to have as much fun as we did.
