The Australian Short Course season concluded with a bang at the Sydney Olympic Aquatic Centre with the Australian Short Course Championships which doubled up as the trials for the World Short Course Championships, to be hosted by Melbourne in December.
The event saw us send a team of 9 swimmers to the event. The team consisted of Robbe Dilissen, Domi Hart, Lachlan Jackett Simpson, Ruby Knott, William Laidlaw, James McBride, Calvin Reed, Joshua Seignior and Adam Selwood.
The event saw the highest number of club swimmers place in the top 10 at an Australian Championship event including:
- Robbe 7th 800 FS, 9th 1500 FS
- Domi 4th 1500m FS
- Ruby 5th 1500m FS, 10th 800 FS

- Calvin 5th 100m Breast, 6th 50m Breast, 9th 200m Breast

Additionally, our mixed medley relay of Lachlan, Calvin, James and Josh placed 5th, our highest ever relay finish at a national event.
It was a difficult meet for Liam Laidlaw who suffered an injury at the event and was unable to compete in the 100m FS an event where he had been under 50 seconds all season.
